Content Admin Guide 📹

As a Content Admin, you are the person at the stadium on match day. Your job is to record everything that happens during the match in real time — goals, cards, substitutions, the clock — and submit the final score when it’s done.

Fans watching on LigiOpen see your updates live. The league standings depend on the result you submit. Your role matters.

What Does a Content Admin Do?

How Do I Get the Content Admin Role?

A Super Admin grants you the Content Admin role. Then, for each match you’re assigned to, a League Admin assigns you to that specific fixture. You’ll only see fixtures you’ve been assigned to in your dashboard.

Switch to the Content Admin role from: Profile tab → Switch Role → Content Admin.

Before Match Day — Check Your Assignments

Open your Dashboard tab. You’ll see a list of all fixtures assigned to you, sorted by date.

For each fixture, you can see:

Tap a fixture to open the Fixture Detail screen and see full details including the officials assigned.

Check your assignments the evening before the match. Make sure you know the venue, kick-off time, and which teams are playing. Arrive at the stadium early — ideally 30 minutes before kick-off — with your phone charged and the LigiOpen app open.

Match Day — Step by Step

Here is your complete match day workflow, from before kick-off to full time:

1. Tap the Fixture

Open your Dashboard and tap the today’s fixture. The Fixture Detail screen opens. You’ll see both teams, the venue, kick-off time, and a “Kick Off” button.

2. Tap “Kick Off”

When the referee blows the whistle to start the match, tap the Kick Off button.

This does three things:

⚠️ Do this at the exact moment the referee starts the match. If you tap it too early, the clock will be ahead of the real match — which confuses fans watching remotely.

3. Update the Clock

Throughout the match, tap Update Minute to keep the live clock accurate for fans.

💡 Update every 5–10 minutes. You don’t need to tap every single minute — just periodic updates to keep the displayed time reasonably accurate.

4. Record Match Events

Tap the large + button to add a new event. Choose the event type and fill in the details:

⚽ Goal

  1. Tap Goal.
  2. Select the team that scored.
  3. Select the player who scored (from the team’s squad list).
  4. If it’s an own goal, check the “Own Goal” box.
  5. If it was a penalty, check the “Penalty” box.
  6. Tap Save.

Record goals immediately! Fans are watching live — they want to see the goal notification right away.

🤝 Assist

  1. Tap Assist.
  2. Select the team.
  3. Select the player who provided the assist.
  4. Tap Save.

💡 Record the assist immediately after recording the goal — while you still remember who passed.

🟨 Yellow Card

  1. Tap Yellow Card.
  2. Select the team.
  3. Select the player receiving the card.
  4. If this is their second yellow card of the match (making it a red), check the “Second Yellow” box.
  5. Tap Save.

💡 If a player gets a second yellow, their team effectively goes down to 10 players — record this accurately.

🔴 Red Card

  1. Tap Red Card.
  2. Select the team.
  3. Select the player being sent off.
  4. If it’s a straight red (not from two yellows), check the “Direct Red” box.
  5. Tap Save.

🔄 Substitution (Player Off)

  1. Tap Substitution Out.
  2. Select the team.
  3. Select the player coming off.
  4. Tap Save.

🔄 Substitution (Player On)

  1. Tap Substitution In.
  2. Select the team.
  3. Select the player coming on.
  4. Tap Save.

⚠️ Always record Substitution Out before Substitution In. This keeps the squad list accurate and avoids confusion.

5. Correcting a Mistake

Made an error? (Wrong player, wrong team, duplicate event?) Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Scroll to the Events list in the fixture detail.
  2. Find the incorrect event.
  3. Tap it → tap Delete.
  4. Now add the correct event using the + button as normal.

💡 There’s no “edit” button for events — you delete and re-add. Double-check your entries before saving to avoid extra work.

6. Half Time

When the first half ends:

  1. Tap Update Minute → set to 45 (or 45+N for injury time, e.g. 45+3).
  2. Review all first-half events in the events list — make sure every goal, card, and substitution is correctly recorded.
  3. Take a break. ☕

7. Second Half

When the second half kicks off:

  1. Tap Update Minute → set to 46.
  2. Continue recording events exactly as in the first half.

8. Full Time

When the referee blows the final whistle:

  1. Tap Update Minute → set to 90 (or 90+N for injury time).
  2. Do a final review of all events — check the goals tally matches the score, cards are correct, all substitutions recorded.

9. Submit the Result

When you’re satisfied everything is correct:

  1. Tap Submit Result.
  2. A form appears. Fill in:
Field Notes
Home Score Final score for the home team
Away Score Final score for the away team
Attendance Optional — number of spectators
Notes Optional — any additional notes for the League Admin
  1. Tap Submit.

The League Admin receives a notification to review and approve the result. Until they approve it, the result shows as “Pending Approval” on the fixture detail screen.

💡 Once the League Admin approves, standings update automatically for all fans.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Mistake How to avoid it
Kicking off too early Wait for the actual referee whistle before tapping “Kick Off”
Forgetting to record a goal Record every goal immediately — don’t wait
Wrong player selected Double-check the player list — similar names can be confusing
Substitution In before Out Always record Substitution Out first
Submitting wrong score Count the goals in your events list before submitting
App closes mid-match Keep your phone screen awake — adjust your settings if needed

⚠️ If you accidentally kick off too early, contact the League Admin immediately. They may be able to reset the match clock or adjust the fixture status.
